The tiger king (Koômaru) demonstrates his mastery of ninja magic by bringing to life a tiger from a painted scroll. This series has 36 prints on the art of ninja, the magical power of legendary figures. Koômaru takes a cover of a box of a scroll painting in his right hand and puts two fingers of his left hand in the center of the body, the posture of a ninja performing his spell. He mastered this magic to bring out the painted tiger on the hanging scroll, which now sits obediently behind him.
