The actor Kawarazaki Gonjurô as a fireman wearing a coat decorated with waves and a carp, right. He holds a lantern identifying his brigade and we see numerous firemen silhouetted behind him on roofs against a curtain of smoke. Middle is Ichimura Uzaemon as a tattooed fireman, raising his lantern and looking left. Left is the actor Sawamura Tanosuke as a woman, tucking her hand into her robes.
