We see a beauty wearing a striped ensemble superimposed over an inset cartouche that shows Nihonbashi Bridge. The artist wrote in a 1910 advertisement for this series “The publishing of Tokyo junikie represents a move back to the original features of a Japanese woodblock print”, after bemoaning its decline in the previous few sentences.
