This lovely design “Tajima Province, Iwai Valley, Kannon Cave” (Tajima, Iwaidani, Iwayakannon) packs it all into a design brimming with scenic elements. The cascading Gamô River falls to the right into Iwai Valley; purple and pink-hued clouds cling to the mountains, and a path leads up to what must be Jugen Monastery on Mount Iwaya. Trees cling to the steep slope. There is beautiful woodgrain in the sky, indicating a quite early edition.

Condition: Very good impression, color and condition. Some binding holes in right margin. Bottom margin is a bit narrow.
