Drypoint of Japanese fishing boats returning to shore. The sun seems to be propelling the sails with its rays, as it is overwhelmingly radiant.  Provenance: Estate of the artist. Lewis was one of the greatest American printmakers of the early 20th century, and his trip to Japan in 1920 was formative.
