Clearing Weather of the Togakushi Mountains (Togakushi no seiran). The beautiful princess Sarashina has transformed into the demon Momji, her transformation creating a wind of swirling maple leaves that sends trays of refreshment tumbling. He fearlessly confronts her, face resolute and drawing his sword. She clutches at her long hair and shrieks at him. Yoshitoshi revisited this scene a number of times, including a vertical diptych and in the “36 Ghosts”.

Condition: Very good impression, color and condition. Rare. Fold near left margins.
