Outer view of the gate to Bunnosuke Teahouse in Kyoto. This teahouse opened in the Meiji period, and is still in business today at the same location in Higashiyama, the view of the entrance still looking recognizably similar. Just within the gate we see two women who appear to be waiting. From a series of views on the Kansai District. Creating this artwork required 14 blocks and 63 impressions. Pencil signed, with the “jizuri” (self-printed) seal, indicating a lifetime impression.
Condition: Excellent impression and condition; very good color.
