We get the feeling of strong afternoon sun, and that Yoshida has perfectly captured the colors of the scene. The printing of the subtle details of the gate involve gauffrage, an unusual technique for this artist. Provenance: Purchased directly from the Yoshida Family, this work has never been circulated. Extremely fresh and clean, and cannot be compared with examples that have been passed around for decades and/or framed.
