Two boats are about to set sail from their shallow mooring on the river, their sails filling with wind. The foreground is a lovely study of the riverbed, which is filled with many stones in a variety shapes and colors, each beautifully rendered by the artist. This scenic river, which runs for more than 200km, is now completely controlled by numerous hydroelectric dams. Although there are many posthumous editions of this design, this one is pencil-signed by the artist, so it is an early, lifetime edition.

Condition: Excellent impression, color and condition. Mint.
