Dramatic evening scene of traditional night fishing off of Tsukuda Island. A fisherman spreads his nets with bamboo poles, the fire in his basket creating an bright reflection that glitters on the surface of the water in a reverse triangulation that echoes the masts that are seen in the background against the silhouetted landscape.

Condition: Excellent impression, color and condition. With two small vintage stamps affixed to the verso. Dimensions: 37.8 x 17.2 cm.
