Portrait of a young geisha, shown seated from behind with her powdered white neck exposed and her obi sash gathered behind her. The pattern on the obi was brilliantly created using the natural pattern of the woodgrain with a method that emphasizes the natural pattern.  Saito has captured the pose perfectly, although rendered in his minimal and mingei-like style. The background is a textured grey pattern that offers the feeling of the timelessness of the scene.
