Two women carrying kindling walk towards us on a mountain road. Behind them is a profusion of blooming cherry trees, with a few structures peeking out amidst the blossoms. A strong contrast to Kiyochika’s war designs, the defining feature of this series is its utter peace and tranquility and painterly feeling.
Condition: Excellent impression, color and condition. Extensive woodgrain evident.
