From the series “One Hundred Views of Musashi”, a delightful spring scene. This temple and shrine honor Umewakamaru, son of General (shosho) Yoshida , who was kidnapped and brought to Edo. He died by the Sumida river. In the center of the print a group of people are watching boys chasing women. Probably this is a scene of the annual commemoration day at the shrine in spring. In the foreground the upper part of the clapping woman is depicted from the back to create depth in the composition. First edition.

Condition: Excellent impression, color and condition. Extremely slight center crease.
