Ayase gawa Asakusa-dera enkei. We are caught up in the travails of a single small fish dangling from a spread net, rather than the human drama surrounding the famous Asakusa Temple in the far distance. This seems to echo a similar view of a thrown net in Hiroshige’s “One Hundred Famous Views of Edo” series.
