Large half-length portrait of one of the Forty-seven Ronin. Nakamura Kansuke Masatatsu is deflecting a brazier full of hot ashes as he protects his head with his left hand. Only about a dozen prints in this series were brought to competion, and they are known for their strong western influence.

Condition: Excellent impression. Very good color and condition. Minor binding holes left margin.
