Miya Station Hangon Mound (Miya no eki hangon tsuka). The husband of Fuji looks up to see his wife appear in a cloud of incense. She died in grief during the man’s long journey away from her. This specific incense, Hangon-kô is used to summon back the spirit of the dead. Her robe bears designs of butterflies and spiderwebs, evoking both innocence and impermanence.
Condition: Excellent impression and color. Very good condition. Minor wormage left side.
