Koitsu: Snow at Miyajima Shrine (Sold)

Famously scenic view of the iconic floating torii gate at the Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima. A boatman carries two sightseers near the shrine a left, while snow falls from the pine branches in the foreground. We also see stone lanterns in the foreground, all blanketed with snow. At low tide the shrine and its gate are accessible by foot, but at high tide the structures seem to float on the sea. The seal at left reads Doi Hangaten, which indicates that this work was printed shortly after WWII, probably around 1950.

Condition: Excellent impression and color. Very good condition. Some very mild toning on upper margin and some toning to verso.
