Title: Rain at Asakusa Kannon Temple

A woman in a green kimono and holding a traditional paper umbrella walks in front of one of the vermilion temple buildings at Sensoji Temple, two doves in the air above her. The pagoda rises in the distance in the space between verdant green trees. It is early summer, and this work is dated the sixth month, which would be June. All of these beautiful structures were destroyed in WWII, but have since been rebuilt. The seal at left reads Doi Hangaten, which indicates that this work was printed shortly after WWII, probably around 1950. With seals of printer Yokoi and Carver Harada.
