Serene winter scene of a woman walking walking past a bare tree enlivened with vibrant persimmons that have yet to be harvested. She wears a white scarf on her head and seems to balance several branches atop her head. Every part of the village scene has a unique texture and color combination, done in Saito’s oft-imitated but inimitable mingei style.
