Oeshiki Zoshigaya. Celebratory scene of an elaborate festival lantern glowing during a nighttime matsuri. We see drummers from behind and attendees in traditional dress in a grove of tall trees; one star shining above. Scarce in this prewar edition, with the Watanabe seal used between 1931 and 1941. Toledo (Blair, 1936) indicates an edition of 100. From a Japanese collection of flawless shin hanga that has been stored away since the works were produced.
Condition: Excellent impression, color and condition. Mint.
