Nagakubo Station on the Kisokaido (Kiso-ji Nagakubo). Dusk view of a full moon rising over the peaceful village at Nagakubo station, the 27th station on the 69 Stations of the Kisokaido. We see pedestrians crossing a bridge in the middle distance, and working people going about their daily life to the right. The travelers in shadow crossing the bridge evoke Hiroshige’s famous print from his Kisokaido series. This work is sealed “Kakei”, and according to shotei.com and its Shotei expert, this work is definitely by Hiroaki (Shotei) and was published before the 1923 earthquake. A scarce design.
