The brilliant maple leaves of Mama are given their closeup in this famous view. We see Tekona Shrine and the Linked Bridge, two other famous places that would be familiar to viewers of the period. Mama was more than ten miles east of central Edo. This example has light oxidation on the maple leaves, giving them a very pleasing brightness.
