Two houseboats are docked along the canal int his morning view of a riverfront in Osaka. Done almost entirely in shades of blue, there is only a touch of pink in the sky and water. Narazaki wrote “A morning mist floats on the water’s surface; a scene of quietude as the weather is about to clear...An unusual aspect of this work is the treatment of space through variations in tonality.”
A scarce, pre-earthquake design. Difficult to find this design in unfaded condition, as here.
Condition: Excellent impression, color and condition.
