Kabuki Scene: Naniwa Jirôsaku as played by Nakamura Shikan(right), Kamuro Tayori by Sawamura Tanosuke(center), and Azuma-no Yoshirô by Kawarazaki Gonjûrô(left). The Kabuki scene "Modorikago iro ni ankara" in the play "Tozuma hamann Edo-kata": One spring day, the palanquin bearer Jirósaku from Naniwa (present Osaka area ), actually Ishikawa Goemon, and Yoshiró from Azuma (present Tokyo area), actually Mashiba Hisakichi (later Toyotomi Hideyoshi) carry Tayori, a kamuro, a future courtesan from Shimabara and stop at Shino, in Kyoto. They talk about the three pleasure quarters of the areas-- Naniwa, Azuma, and Shimabara. At the end Jirosaku and Yoshiro appear in their real personalities, namely as Ishikawa Goemon and Mashiba Hisakichi, and set up the realm of Taiko-ki , the story of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
Condition: Excellent impression, color and condition. Untrimmed and unbacked, with mica in the sky.
