We see the tiered roofs of an imperial building from beyond the outer wall of the Forbidden City. Our vantage point is near the surrounding Tongzi Moat, where a Chinese minder has brought two camels to be watered. Etching, drypoint with hand-applied watercolors. Edition number in bottom right in pencil 53/75. The copper plate for this print is in the collection of the Honolulu Academy of Arts. The colors on this print are stronger than the colors in the example pictured in the Honolulu catalog.
Condition: Very good impression, color and condition.
