Kawanabe Kyōsai: Drawing of Blacksmith

A worker raises his mallet, assisting the blacksmith at right. The blacksmith wields tongs that hold a piece of metal, as well as a smaller mallet. To his left are tools in a box, and there are more smithing tools on a box to his right. On the left of the page is writing. This work has been authenticated by Prof. Oikawa, a world expert on Kyosai. It also bears a double imprint of one of Kyosai's artist seals, along left edge of paper. This seal may be seen in the Condor book on Kyosai, page 43.
