Striking colors make this 400-year old sunlit donjon stand out on its hilltop perch above a sailboat making its way past the pebbly shores of the Kiso river. A very early edition, with publisher’s seal Bijutsusha (in pebbles, lower right), which is a rarity. Provanance: From the collection of the late Hasui Scholar Hisao Shimizu.
