A young beauty ties her hair with a scarf, her kimono decorated with seashells and her hair covering with stylized waves, both serving as hints to the beach around her, which we are not shown directly. The background is a highly textured blue, which contrasts with the smooth perfection of all the other areas of the work. With a limited edition seal, numbered out of 250, verso. This work was purchased in Japan from a collection of works that were never framed.
