This station was later added (1616) since the distance between Yokkaichi and Kameyama was too far. It was one of the smallest stations with 15 inns. The Shingon sect temple was in the south of the town. The Tokaido runs in front of the temple and leads toward the town. In the foreground Hiroshige depicted the activities on paddy fields. There is a path in the center, however it is not the Tokaido. (the 44th Station)
