A woman with an umbrella and a man beside his palanquin stand in the colorful rain. There are no outlines used in this work, which is strikingly original and innovative. This work seems to directly presage some of the techniques and designs by Kawase Hasui, and has been thus noted by scholars.
Condition: Very good impression, color and condition. This example has a rather dark palette. Paper has slight toning.
