We see an exquisitely attired beauty, most likely a courtesan, reach the top of a flight of stairs in a teahouse, en route to her engagement for the evening. Her luxurious attire features a carp climbing a waterfall on her front-tied obi and a rope and anchor on her outer garment. Following her are two attendants. In the hall to her left is a young girl carrying a teapot and a note to unseen guests. Exquisitely printed, with blindprinting on the white of her garment and lacquer effects on the bottom of the sliding doors.
