A woman from a southern island balances a basket on her head, walking past a tree with ornate aerial roots. Sekka was best known as a painter and a designer, and his most famous printed works were several exceptional albums, including “A World of Things”. This work was not part of an album, but was one of four works published as single sheet prints. The preparatory watercolors for three of the works are known. 

Condition: Excellent impression and color. Very good condition. Minor mounting remnants along upper verso.
