“Kôzuke Province, Mount Haruna Under Snow”. Haruna Temple, an important pilgrimage site and sanctuary, stands out in brilliant red against an imposing and snowy backdrop.  A solitary figure crosses the red bridge known as Ninuri hashi spanning the snowy precipice known as Gyôyatani, “Ascetic’s Valley”, dwarfed by the scale around him. Two other travelers make their way along the snowy path. One of the top designs in the series. The complete set includes one image from each of the 68 provinces, plus two for Edo and a contents page, for a total of 70 prints in all.
