Titled “Kinokunisaka in the Rainy Season”, we see a dramatic silhouette of a large pine tree, standing out against a light drizzle. Two pedestrians walk by, holding umbrellas aloft. Scarce to find as a first edition, as here, with the Watanabe seal used in the 1930s, right margin, as most examples are postwar. The rain is very effectively printed, and the overall printing in the 1st edition is much superior to later editions.
