We see a beauty with unbound hair and a folded fan holding a bamboo branch. Perhaps she has just returned from a festival? Her kimono features plovers against shibori waves. Inset is a cartouche with place name “Kagami Pond” 

In the koma-e (cartouche)is Kagami Pond, which is signed by Kunihisa, who lived with Kunisada in Yanagishima, just north of Kameido Shrine, after he married Kunisada’s daughter, Okatsu, in 1852.

Condition: Excellent impression. Very good color and condition. Binding holes along left side. Unbacked.
