On a rainy evening we see a woman ducking beneath the entrance to a Tomoeya Restaurant, opening her umbrella as she steps into the street. In front of her is a man who probably works for the restaurant who holds a lantern to guide the woman safely home. This design is a terrific study of architectural elements as well as the bold garment patterns and prominent umbrellas. This is a beautifully printed first edition, with mica in the sky and the rain printed in a very soft silver that can only be seen when the print is examined in person.
