“Strange Events at Tomonoura in Asakusa.” Three villagers working the  rice fields at night are under the spell of a badger (tanuki), who follows them, who seems to beat a rhythm on his stomach with sticks like pompoko. They hold their hoes up like the bannermen of a shogunal parade.
