Meiji Period reprint of this very famous design of a carp amidst seaweeds. These copy A reprints from the 1890s after originals from the 1820s are good enough to have fooled many people over the years, although now they are well documented. These Meiji facsimiles may even be found in major museum collections, like the MFA and the AIC. This edition of this work may be found in the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

Poems are printed in silver against the deep black/grey background.
