Title: An inn in Hakone No.11(Hakone no yado jûichi)

“An inn in Hakone, Number Eleven “(Hakone no yado jûichi). Hakone is the eleventh station on the Tokaidô and famous for its beautiful views of Mt Fuji and numerous hot springs. Eisen depicts a scene in an inn, combined with a mountainous landscape: a woman is coming out of kaya mosquito net and sliding up the side door of an andon lamp to adjust the flame. Her hair pins are on the foot of the andon; on the floor lie two tea cups on the tray and a set of a smoking pouch, which suggests she has a guest. On the top the mountains we see Lake Ashinoko and the roofs of inns in the Hakone area. The picture is accompanied by a poem.
